You are invited to tender for the following three operations:
- Mowing all four sectors of the green totalling 7.03 ha.
- Turning and baling all four sectors.
- Removal of the resulting bales within one month of baling.
One figure will be accepted from contractors who will be expected to carry out all three operations at their own risk.
The successful contractor must confirm that he will do a risk assessment before commencing the work and that he carries appropriate public liability insurance cover.
The site is the subject of a Natural England Higher Level Stewardship Scheme which does not allow haymaking operations to begin before the 15th July 2017 (although a
derogation is being sought to allow mowing to begin at any time after 1st July).
The successful contractor will be expected to complete the work during July or early August 2017(subject to weather conditions)
Known hazards (such as manholes) on the green will be pointed out to the successful applicant (see plan attached), but the contractor will be responsible for making his own investigation to discover any possible hazards.
