What Should be Done? Who Should Do it?
Formal inspection of trees every year. Experts to be called in where appropriate. Two Councillors to be nominated at the February Council meeting.
Formal inspection of the green every year. Inspection report to be presented to the April Council meeting.
Notices to be displayed warning of steep banks to the beck. Existing notices to be checked by the inspection referred to.
Contractors to be warned of HV overhead cables. The Clerk when appointing contractors to carry out a job.
Inhabitants to be reminded to remove dog poo (mention annually in the Parish Magazine). To be included in the Chairman’s report of the PC meeting in the Parish Magazine.
Identify leaking effluent by annual inspection of the green or from complaints by public. To be checked by the inspection referred to.
Contractors to be required to show evidence of public liability insurance cover. To be checked by the clerk when obtaining quotes or appointing contractors to carry out work.
Notice of prohibited activities to be displayed on the green. Existing notices to be checked by the inspection referred to.
Contractors and tenants to be made aware of their obligation to carry public liability insurance cover and for the need to repair any dangerous gate or fence.

The clerk to notify the tenant and any directly engaged contractors of their obligations.

To be checked by the inspection referred to.

Parishioners to be requested (in the Parish Magazine) to report unsafe or dangerous fixtures.

Formal inspection annually.

The chairman to include the request in his resume of the April meeting of the Parish Council.

The structures are to be checked for problems by the councillors making the annual inspection of the green (and on the same occasion).

Report any problem to the relevant authority where appropriate e.g. NYCC or Highway Authority. The clerk to report any problems to the relevant authority where appropriate following notification after the inspection or by the public.
